On the 22nd– 29th of July, a week-long children’s camp was held at the Harford school for girls in Moyamba with the inspiring theme, “Resilience: Children Stepping into the Future,” based on the scripture Isaiah 41:10.

The camp focused on equipping children with the skills and mindset necessary to face future challenges with confidence and faith. We had 130 children and 26 children’s workers in attendance. The children and workers were placed into houses namely, Hannah (Green), Joseph (Red), Paul (Yellow) and Ruth (Blue).

The children’s camp was highly successful in achieving its goals. The Children left with a deeper understanding of resilience and a renewed sense of faith. By focusing on resilience through the lens of faith, the camp not only provided practical skills but also spiritual encouragement, preparing children to step into the future with strength and trust in God’s promise.

The camp was climaxed with a divine service, which served as a culmination of the week’s activities and a time for spiritual reflection and worship. The sermon was notably preached by one of the campers, Kaiyegema Holima, encouraging children not to give up when they fail and to place their trust in God can provide them with a strong foundation for overcoming obstacles.
